Terms & Conditions

Shipping

o Getting your flowers into the drying process at the earliest opportunity is key for the best results and freshest look of the flowers.

o We can look to arrange collection of your flowers within the central belt area of Scotland free of charge up to 50miles from A Bonnie Reminder based in Alexandria. Collection out with these areas would be minimum of £30 within mainland UK. This would be discussed at time of booking.

o If collection is not possible, the flowers would need to be shipped by express royal mail or delivery facility, ideally within a maximum of 2 days. A Bonnie Reminder cannot take responsibility for cost and facility selected for this.

o If shipping your flowers to us, they must be securely packaged, ideally using florist oasis or wrapped in layers or moist kitchen paper wrapped around the stems and ends. Please be mindful of the outer packaging for shipping.

o If your flowers have been shipped to us instead of collection, and have been damaged in transit, we would work with you to rebuild and reconstruct them. This might not always be possible.

o If shipping instructions not followed, and flowers are damaged beyond repair we would discuss this with you at the time.

Preservation of Flowers

o Prior to placing into pressed frame or casting into the epoxy resin art piece, the flowers must be completely dry. The drying process can alter the shape, size and colouring of the flowers.

o We do not provide colouring or correction services. The drying process is critical and unfortunately not all flowers dry thoroughly. We would endeavour to utilise all the best flowers following the drying process, particularly those identified as key flowers for the art work.

o Flowers such as Tulips, daisies, orchids, and lilies generally don’t dry well and can become damaged or discoloured.

o We cannot take responsibility for how the flowers appear following the drying process, and particularly if they have been treated and/or dyed from your florists.

o The team will generally only dry the number of flowers required for the pieces you have ordered.

Designing your Art Pieces

o We will send designs for your approval prior to casting or placing, however due to workload, pieces selected, processes, and timescales, this isn’t always possible. Overworking the flowers, moving them from the storage and touching them can lead to damage to the flower(s).

o You agree that by booking and ordering with us, all final designs and artistic decisions will be left to the team of artists. Our experience allows us to know that different flowers are better suited to certain styles, shapes or designs, and all designs are based on the flowers provided as part of your booking.

o Our preservation artists have full discretion to decide what flowers would be most suitable to be used for the pieces selected.

o The drying process covers the flowers needed for your art pieces ordered. If there is excess flowers they may be discarded. We can discuss this at time of order.

Imperfections of Designs

o Any epoxy resin artwork pieces created here with us are 100% handmade by the team of artists. No machines are used in creating your artwork pieces and nothing is mass produced.

o The very nature of working with resin is unpredictable. Whilst the utmost care is taken by the team here throughout the process, it is not unreasonable to possibly see one or more of the following.

Layer lines (each layer of the resin when poured in stages), small air bubbles, loose particles, slightly uneven edges, transparent petals (white petals can do this more than other colours), or flowers that have changed colour following the pouring process after drying. We would reaffirm that we do all we can to minimise these happening as best as we can, with best practices.

Turnaround and Production Time

o Generally, we would expect that orders would have a turnaround of 10-12 weeks during peak season, earlier if workload allows, but does depend on the quantity, size and complexity of your design and order.

o We will provide regular updates of process when we can, of current stage and expected completion dates.

o If you would like an update of your order, please feel free to email us or message us on Facebook and we would be happy to provide update.

Social Media

o We never share pictures or videos on our social media platform’s, of your order while it is still going through the process. Only after you have taken delivery of the completed order would we possibly post pictures and videos of the completed pieces or the processes, where taken. o If you do not want your order possibly being used on our social media, please let us know at time of booking.

Payment Terms

o We require a £25 deposit payment at time of order booking, to secure the date, if booking with us over 4 weeks in advance. This is non-refundable.

o We would then require 50% of your confirmed order total, (less the £25 on order payment if applicable), when flowers are delivered to, or collected by A Bonnie Reminder.

o The balance of your order would then be required when flowers are dried and ready for casting, approximately 2-3 weeks after collection.

o Delivery costs would apply if out with central belt of Scotland.

Refunds & Returns

o If you are not completely satisfied with your completed artwork, we would ask that these pieces are returned to us prior to full refund excluding fees & costs incurred to date. The reason we would always try and take pictures of design, and update you, prior to casting and curing process is to ensure you are completely happy with planned design to eliminate any dissatisfaction with the end art work.

Memorial Jewellery, Inclusions and Castings

o Payment in full is required at time of ordering memorial jewellery pieces.

o Once you have chosen and paid for the memorial jewellery, you can arrange shipping & collection of your inclusions, as per above shipping & collection details.

o All other T&Cs apply.

With booking and ordering an art piece with A Bonnie Reminder, you have read and agree to the above detailed terms and conditions.
